The ideal candidate will have broad experience with current data center network switching and routing technologies and deep knowledge of network requirements in design and evaluation of technologies in the virtual switching, routing, and storage arenas.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed by CLIENT.
- Provide on-going day to day support for global data network including level 3 support for all network related support and troubleshooting tasks
- Work with cross affiliate teams to implement and manage security initiatives
- Work with Managed Security Operations Center to ensure quick response and remediation of security threats
- Perform complex technical analysis and troubleshooting of network software, hardware, routers, switches, and various transmission systems using a variety of diagnostic tools in support of efficient network operations
- Manage and monitor enterprise VOIP solution using MS Teams and Direct Routing
- Provide input into the company’s network strategy for the direction and implementation of future network technology and network-related technical standards
- Effectively manage networking and communication partners
- Play a primary role and mentor others by providing skilled technical advice in network planning, design, engineering, and architecture
- Conduct technical research, perform vendor comparisons, and analyze cost requirements for recommendations
- Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS)
- Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes, and security configurations
- Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability
- Monitor system resource utilization, trending, and perform capacity planning
- Experience in designing converged infrastructure solutions and ability to articulate impact of architecture decisions
- Experience managing projects
- Excellent network troubleshooting skills and the ability to quickly identify and resolve network related issues in smallest time possible
- Must have familiarity with cloud and cloud connectivity
- Experience Configuring/Troubleshooting Meraki (AP’s, Switches, Cameras, Firewall/VPN, etc.)
- Experience Configuring/Troubleshooting Routing protocols
- Experience Troubleshooting LAN Switching VLAN, etc.
- Experience with SDWAN
- Experience Configuring/Troubleshooting TCP/IP protocol suite, Quality of Service
- Experience Configuring/Troubleshooting Network Security – 802.x, RADIUS, etc.
- Ability to architect, articulate (to different stakeholders), and implement complex solutions spanning multiple technologies, and business domains
- Able to document converged infrastructure design, configurations, and support procedures
- Perform assessments and provide recommendations including defect analysis
- Current with Industry knowledge and trends
- Bachelor’s degree in MIS or related field.
- 5 years of related experience
- Experience managing Projects
