We are looking for a Site Reliability Engineer that leverages our DevSecOps and Continuous Integration (CI) / Continuous Deployment (CD) tools and process to join our team to support an essential modernization program. We are looking for a dynamic and collaborative individual to join our team to modernize a legacy system into a cloud-based solutions with a holistic shared services solution. This role requires an energetic individual who wants to enhance their professional career in a fast-paced federal environment. The functional responsibilities will be to serve as a Site Reliability Engineer. In this role, a typical day will include:
Support microservice application development scrum teams with code deployments leveraging Kubernetes Application containerization and orchestration solution
Create automation scripts that integrates Gitlab pipeline tool with supporting DecSecOps tools such as automated testing and security scanning tools as part of the AppDev lifecycle
Monitor non-production environment and troubleshoot issues that arise
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
BA/BS degree (computer science/systems, information systems/technology, engineering/engineering technology, software)
2 years of software development experience
2 years of DevSecOps and CI/CD experience
2 years developing software products in Cloud environments
Expertise in DevSecOps automation, and CI/CD, Lean, and Agile Scrum/Kanban development techniques, best practices and tools
Cloud-native application architecture and design experience including containerized microservice, service mesh, API, and event-driven architectures
Experience with Application containerization and orchestration solutions (i.e., Kubernetes)
Experience with cloud-native software architecture frameworks - including Open-Source and Commercial distributions (OCI-compliant containerized microservices, REST API, Kubernetes deployment and orchestration) and Cloud-based services (AWS Lambda, EKS, Azure DevOps, AKS)
Experience developing and scaling engineering solutions for both structured and unstructured data
Strong communication skills to communicate with customers, support personnel and stakeholders
Certifications in the following areas are beneficial:
DevSecOps and Cloud-Native architecture
Agile: PMI-ACP, CSM, CSPO, SAFe, etc.
ITIL
Have an existing or the ability to pass a Public Trust background investigation

The likely salary range for this position is $122,366 - $204,360. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
