About the Role

The Company is seeking an SVP for its Core Operations Controls Testing Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the strategic and execution-oriented management of end-to-end controls testing within the Core Operations department. This includes design, execution, results reporting, and insight sharing related to operational controls performance assurance. The role involves leading and directing a team of approximately 6-7 controls testing professionals, ensuring the testing of controls is in line with the latest trends, and maintaining a high level of communication and negotiation, particularly with senior managers. The SVP will also be accountable for control testing results, advising on control execution, and supporting their manager in staff management issues.Applicants should have over 10 years' of relevant experience, with at least 5 years' in risk and controls roles, and a preference for 5 years' of direct management experience. The role requires a subject matter expert in controls design, execution, and/or testing, with an expert-level understanding of MCA frameworks and processes. Advanced skills in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint are essential, as is the ability to work effectively on virtual teams. The SVP will be expected to have outstanding people and relationship management skills, the ability to influence and collaborate, and to demonstrate an independent, critical thinking approach. A Bachelor's degree is required, with a Master's degree being preferred.
