Direct report to the Controller

Typical duties and responsibilities include, but not limited to the following:

Primary Responsibilities:

• Prepare and organize financial transactions. To prepare, verify, allocate, and post journal entries in accordance with GAAP standards. To meet reporting deadlines and conduct month and year-end close processes.
• Maintain Balance Sheet GL Reconciliations and Subledgers.
• Identify, propose and enter reclassification entries where appropriate.
• Fixed Assets and Capital Projects management.
• Sales & Use Tax Management. Ensure Sales & Use Tax are filed and paid timely. Compute the Quarterly California Use Tax.
• Prepare documents for yearly financial audits and other financial related audits like, property tax audits, sales & use tax audits, etc.
• Participate in special projects as needed like inventory physical count, etc.
• Protect organization’s value by keeping information confidential.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree - Accounting or related field.
• Thorough understanding of General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• 3 years relevant accounting experience.
• Manufacturing experience is preferred, Dynamics AX ERP experience a plus, other ERP accounting system.
• Excellent in Microsoft Office Word and Advanced Excel skills.
• Strong problem-solving ability.
• Attention to details; ability to review accounting documents for complete accuracy.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Must be able to effectively handle multiple tasks in a deadline driven environment.
