Next Generation Career Coaching is Hiring a Packaging specialist Near Hartsville, SC

Reporting to the R&D Director for theThermoformed Packaging division you will be responsible fordeveloping designing and qualifying new thermoplastic materials andprocesses for the client enduse markets.

Your role will be pivotalin identifying sustainable packaging solutions for customers byleveraging ideas and technical understanding of new polymertechnologies to manage and execute key projects from development tocommercialization.

The ideal candidate isrequired to be an expert in plastics extrusion thermoforming andmaterial handling with a solid understanding of the thermalmechanical and rheological properties of thermoplastics.

Inaddition you will identify growth opportunities for the businessand lead projects aimed at increasing productivity capacity andefficiency across manufacturing plants.

KeyResponsibilities :

1. Serve as a subject matterexpert in the processing of plastic materials for consumerpackaging.

2. Provide expertise andrecommendations on manufacturing equipment required to support thecurrent business needs and enable capability for futuregrowth.

3. Address internal and externalcustomer needs and packaging opportunities in a manufacturingsetting.

4. Manage the technical integration ofprojects by collaborating with internal crossfunctional teamssuppliers and equipment manufacturers to solve complex problems andenhance product performance for customers in a timely andcosteffective manner.

5. Generate new ideas tosupport the R&D product innovation and technologystrategy.

6. Cultivate an environment thatmotivates and engages others in the R&D organization toachieve desired results.

7. Foster a positivesafe work environment through open communication and an atmosphereof teamwork.

8. Ensure compliance with companysafety policies and procedures to protect all employees.

9. Travel requirement : Up to 30% mostlydomestic.

Here is what we want to see fromapplicants :

At least 7 years of relevantexperience with a strong technical background in plasticsmanufacturing and processing (such as extrusion thermoforming andtooling).

Experience in consumerbased food packaging is considereda plus.

A degree in Mechanical EngineeringPlastics Engineering Chemical Engineering or Polymer Science(B.S. / M.S.).

Proficiency in resins additivescoatings and laminates.
