Job Overview:Working closely with the Director of LPM Manufacturing, this position provides support and general function in the manufacturing area, as well as transportation/logistics, and warehousing. Job functions include communications, PO placement/receipt/coordination, production tracking, inventory reconciliation, invoice audit, file maintenance,
and paperwork processing. Train and assist LPM MFG Clerk and LPM MFG Supervisor in all LPM MFG functions. Maintain a close working relationship with Leslie’s and In The Swim Category Buyers Dept. 100 and 200 for DC product fulfillment.
Responsibilities: A team player, assisting wherever needed within the department and corporate office. Strategic planning for LPM MFG and continuous process improvements. Maintain adequate inventory levels to help Packaging Ops. Managers sustain annual service levels at or above 99%. Providing the highest level of customer service to all store personnel, as well as customers, vendors, distribution center personnel, service & district managers, service & commercial drivers, and inter-office personnel.
- Assist LPM MFG Director in annual forecasting.
- Manage third-party tolling programs, including materials management, production planning, and
- outbound shipments.
- Supervise LPM Manufacturing Clerk and LPM MFG Specialist with purchase order placement,
- Confirmation, coordination, inspection, and reconciliation.
- Dispatch and track inbound raw materials to third-party packagers and warehouses.
- Maintain vendor scorecards
- Supervise LPM Manufacturing customer order process: coordinate, communicate, and confirm orders
- throughout the process.
- Dispatch and track outbound finished goods to distribution centers.
- Enter production and reconcile inventory.
- Oversee weekly updates of LPM MFG reports, including on-order, order master, sales-inventory report, etc
- Continuous improvement in the MFG division through report automation
- Maintain LPM MFG scorecards.
- Compile and track expenses for LPM MFG monthly accruals.
- Assist the Logistics Department and/or the corporate office on special projects, including training new personnel
- Operational excellence through formulation and maintenance of SOP documents for LPM MFG functions
- Bachelor’s degree or minimum 5 years relevant job experience, supply chain preferred
- Excellent communication skills and proficiency with computers.
- Knowledge of supply chain, warehousing, transportation, and manufacturing environments.
