ABOUT THE POSITION

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is the strategic leader accountable for Coppercraft’s financial direction, including accounting, risk management, and administrative operations. This pivotal role involves tracking cash flow, financial planning, and analyzing the company’s financial strengths and weaknesses. With a strong background in product commercialization, ideally in craft spirits, the CFO works closely with supply chain and operations to support business growth.

Key responsibilities include optimizing financial strategies related to debt covenants, treasury management, and ensuring robust cash flow management. The CFO will oversee the development and monitoring of control systems designed to preserve company assets and report accurate financial results. Additionally, this role ensures compliance with all regulatory entities and authorities. The CFO reports directly to the CEO, playing a crucial part in driving Coppercraft’s growth and maintaining its financial health.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

·Plan, develop, organize, implement, direct and evaluate the organization's fiscal function and performance to achieve high growth targets providing strategic financial input and leadership on key decision-making issues affecting the organization.

·Own the overall functional output of the finance and accounting department. Ensuring timely, accurate, and strategic deliverables including items such as invoice payments, purchase orders, and reports. 

·Oversee the purchase order process to maintain cash flow and deliver on output needs.

·Commercialize products to maximize profitability and utilization.

·Set and maintain margin goals to maximize profits in all areas of Coppercraft.

·Oversee investor distributions from Magnus and manage the capitalization table (CAP Table).

·Continuously seek ways to improve the budgeting process and educate the accounting team on financial issues impacting department budgets.

·Translate complex financial information into actionable insights for other departments.

·Ensure the team meets or exceeds deliverables.

·Review and recommend barrel efficiency.

·Optimize debt management.

·Provide timely and accurate reporting including delivering regular reports on the 5 and 15 of every month.

·Drive the commercialization of products to maximize profitability and utilization.

·Set and maintain margin goals to ensure profitability across all areas of Coppercraft.

·Monitor cash flow and other measures to ensure covenant agreements are maintained.

·Optimize the handling of bank and deposit relationships and initiate appropriate strategies to enhance cash position.

·Develop a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism that includes a minimum cash threshold to meet operating needs.

·Partner with the CEO in the development of the corporation's plans and programs, pressure testing, and evaluating scenarios.

·Evaluate and advise on the financial impact of long-range planning, the introduction of new programs/strategies, and regulatory action.

·Provide timely and accurate analysis of KPIs, including ROI, CAMP, Asset Utilization, etc. In addition, ensure timely provision of budgets and financial reports, including analysis of financial trends in order to assist the CEO and Board.

·Possesses a deep understanding of GAAP, and state and federal regulations such as the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.

·Be a key player from the financial perspective on any sales contracts into which the corporation may enter.

·Analyze and inform operational decisions impacting the supply chain, inventory, cash flow management, and enterprise infrastructure. 

·Provide technical financial advice, knowledge, and coaching to others within the financial team and translate financial information into actionable understanding for others in the organization.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

·Fifteen or more years of progressive financial leadership experience, preferably in a lead finance role.

·Experience in consumer products industry, ideally with knowledge of craft spirits commercialization.

·Demonstrated success in developing financial strategies for high-growth companies, particularly privately held organizations.

·Entrepreneurial spirit with a strong operational background in supply chain, inventory, and enterprise infrastructure.

·Strategic and valuation experience.

·Deep understanding of finance functions and strategic valuation experience.
