Description The Senior Network Administrator is responsible for managing and supporting the company’s IT infrastructure across multiple sites. This includes configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining servers, backups, security, patching, server applications, and network infrastructure. The role involves monitoring security, managing IT projects, and performing other assigned duties.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, monitor, and maintain servers, infrastructure, backups, security, patching, applications, and network connectivity.
  • Troubleshoot network, server, application, and endpoint issues.
  • Monitor security dashboards, respond to alerts, and report on security status.
  • Conduct security risk assessments and implement safeguards; recommend improvements to security policies and controls.
  • Review and act on penetration testing reports.
  • Configure networking equipment (routers, switches, firewalls) as needed.
  • Manage the company’s Microsoft cloud environment.
  • Manage IT projects related to network and infrastructure.
  • Track assets, licenses, and warranties of IT hardware and software.
  • Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and other IT teams.
  • Develop and document IT policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Create and maintain network layout and procedural documentation.
  • Participate in cross-training with team members.
  • Address challenging issues which may involve travel to remote sites.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 2-year college degree required; 4-year college degree preferred.
  • 5 years of hands-on experience in IT and security.
  • Proficiency with IT protocols, hardware, and software.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365, Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, PowerShell, VMware.
  • Familiarity with SCADA/ICS systems
  • Knowledge of IT network security standards and best practices.
  • Ability to research and resolve network and server issues.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities.
