As a Sr. Chemical Engineer/Sr, Solutions Engineer, you will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between technical expertise and customer needs. Your primary responsibility is to manage the commercial operating system primarily for the Sales team and support the analytics and project management for the more complex customer projects.

Responsibilities

Facilitate the Commercial Operating System

• Manage the sales pipeline on behalf of sales associates.
• Build and maintain an accurate sales forecast to plan.
• Prepare analytics for business review and reviews.
• Perform root cause analysis and ensure actions plans are deployed.
• Build account plans and facilitate execution on behalf of sales associates.

Perform Analytics Across the Network to Optimize Customer Spend

• Support developing and designing analytics for optimization projects.
• Support identification and deployment of related software solutions.
• Build out presentation materials to support optimization projects.
• Perform the analytics and present findings to customers.
• Pitch project plan to onboard customers.

Project Manage/Onboard Complex Customer Initiatives

• Outsourced services.
• Network optimization.
• Start-ups in the logistics industry.

Provide Leadership and Support to Account Management Team

• Assist on RFPs and contracts.
• Coordinate resolution to customer issues and action plans.
• Work closely together to coordinate communications and plans across departments resulting from either the commercial system or from account manager's own data collection.

Qualifications and Skills

Education :

• Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain or engineering required, MBA preferred.

Experience :

• Experience as solutions engineer or in a similar technical role.
• Experience in supply chain management operations.
• Familiarity with business hardware and software systems.

Communication :

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to present complex technical concepts in a clear and user-friendly manner.

Problem-Solving :

• Strong analytical skills to address customer challenges effectively.
• Attention to detail and ability to think critically.

Sales Acumen :

• While not mandatory, prior sales experience is advantageous.
