Location: Huntsville, AL - work from home flexibility, with 1-2 days in office a week
Overview: As a Buyer at X-Bow Systems, you will play a crucial role in managing inventory levels and ensuring timely procurement of materials. Your responsibilities will involve coordinating with various teams, optimizing production schedules, and maintaining compliance with purchasing policies.
Responsibilities:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related discipline with 5 years of relevant experience in program management organizations.
- Expert level knowledge of Microsoft Excel and familiarity Microsoft Project as well as other information systems/data management
- Responsible for planning, scheduling, and monitoring the movement of material through the Production cycle.
- Provide material lead time(s) to projects and programs.
- Work with Supply Chain Managers (MPMs) to determine quantity and order date for raw materials to meet production demands.
- Work with Supply Chain Managers (MPMs) to develops production schedules based on orders, forecasts, and historical analysis.
- May be involved in selecting and negotiating with approved vendors.
- Monitors and analyzes inventory levels and works to resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Develops forecasts for raw materials.
- Any other assigned tasks
- Manage multiple tasks and objectives
- Self-motivated, organized, and independent worker with the ability to work related deadlines.
- Ability to learn, convey, and expand company objectives.
- Ability to manage and maintain confidential information.
- Ability to foster effective work relationships with co-workers, customers, and vendors.
- Knowledge of organizational methods and the ability to manage multiple projects.
- Comfortable using the computer including experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Hybrid work environment
- Travel up to 15%
