Operations Center Purpose Statement:
To provide the Jackson Public Schools' community with facilities that are safe, clean, and in good physical condition.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for lawn care/building/facility aesthetic and upkeep.
- Building maintenance, cleaning, and repair needs.
- Responds to emergencies during and after work hours.
- Operating and maintenance of the systems including, but not limited to:
- HVAC systems.
- Access controls
- FMX software.
- Boiler systems.
- Pool systems.
- Playground equipment.
- Roof systems.
- Building grounds
- Responsible for all other duties as assigned by the Director of Facilities or his/her designee.
- Strong communications and collaboration skills.
- Computer skills.
- Minimum of a high school diploma or GED
- Valid State of Michigan driver's license, with chauffeur endorsement, or the ability/willingness to acquire one.
- Required to lift and/or push up to 50 lbs.
- Able to climb and work from ladders and scaffolding.
- $16-$20/hour
- 9 paid holidays
- PTO
- Cell phone allowance
- Annual uniform allowance
