Incomplete applications will not be considered.** *This position is located Remote Jacksonville, FL* Position Purpose: Performs highly complex to advanced (senior-level) work. Maintain integrity of network servers and infrastructure; performs system analysis, project planning and implementation, troubleshooting, capacity planning and performance tuning; develop and maintain security and disaster recovery procedures; provide technical support, and perform hardware and software upgrades; provide long term recommendations and solutions for the ongoing enhancement of support operations, process and service to meet the needs of the enterprise. Works under limited supervision, with considerable latitude in the use of initiative and independent judgment. Essential Responsibilities:
Install, configure, and maintain of all hardware.
Designs, tests, documents, implements, and performs, and may oversee, scheduled validation plans for monitoring and performing firmware updates, OS updates, software updates, Active Directory configurations, DNS configurations, DHCP configurations, server room adversity, critical network events and failures, hardware device failure, internet service, network traffic performance, antivirus, adware, web farms, and database engines.
Develops, documents, implements, maintains, and performs, and may oversee, scheduled test of a full disaster plan; including maintaining backups of all environments.
Provides upward and lateral communication and coordination that sufficiently addresses expectations and project status.
Makes recommendations for the network to ensure that current and future needs are met.
Develops, documents, and implements, and may oversee, change management policies and procedures.
Minimum Qualifications Education
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in computer science or related discipline
Additional recent experience in administering networks, active directory, and managing servers or other related areas may be substituted for Bachelor's degree on a year per year basis. (Experience requirements may be satisfied by full-time experience or the prorated part-time equivalent.)
Certification
Have or obtain Microsoft certification (i.e. MCSA, MCP, MCITP, MCSE) within 1 year of employment or promotion
Experience
Three (3) to five (5) years recent hands on experience administering networks, active directory, and managing servers
Two (2) years scripting in multiple languages such as PowerShell, Python, Bash
Two (2) years recent hands on experience managing SAN arrays
One (1) to three (3) years recent hands on experience managing Hyper-V, VMware and exchange servers
One (1) to three (3) years recent hands on experience with hybrid environments
One (1) to three (3) years Azure Cloud Services
One (1) to three (3) years supervisory or project management
One (1) years managing Linux (Ubuntu) servers
Some to two (2) years developing disaster recovery plans
