The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in accounting from an accredited college/university, 2 or more years of accounting experience, fundamental knowledge of GAAP, and demonstrated advanced computer accounting software knowledge and reporting tools. QuickBooks and Sage software experience preferred but not required. It is essential that this candidate brings analytical and organizational skills to best support the accounting team.

The Staff Accountant is responsible for financial management of First Urology in the areas of accounting, accounts payable, general ledger maintenance, and will be tasked with improving processes to improve financial efficiency.

Duties include:

· Preparing and reviewing general ledger entries

· Assist with the day-to-day, monthly, and year-end operations of the Accounting Department including general ledger management and the month-end close process.

· Perform the processing of departmental expense allocations, amortization of prepaid expenses, fixed assets depreciation and recording of adjusting and reclassification journal entries, if necessary.

· Perform general account analysis and reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts.

· Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and use tax reports.

· Daily Cashflow Analysis

· Accounts Payable

· QuickBooks Record Keeping

· Corporate Purchasing Card Administration
