Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various medical settings, including hospitals and occupational health environments. This position offers the opportunity to utilize a wide range of nursing skills and provide high-quality patient care.

A minimum of one year of acute care RN experience (Medical/Surgical, ER, ICU), an annual TB test and CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities:

• assessing inmate and staff medical complaints
• taking off (noting) MD orders and prescriptions, entering lab work and creating requisitions
• administering medications
• end of shift narcotics, sharps and tool counts
• emergency sick call and emergency medical responses, utilize AED
• proficient with computers, Microsoft programs, and able to learn a DOS based program
• vaccinations
• wound care
• diabetic care
• inmate health teaching and evaluation

Requirements:

- Valid RN license in the state of practice
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $44.42 - $65.00 per hour

Experience:

• Healthcare: 7 years (Required)
• acute care RN(Medical/Surgical, ER, ICU): 1 year (Required)
• correctional facility: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• RN License (Required)
• Certified Corrections Nurse (Preferred)
• CPR Certification (Required)
• BLS Certification (Preferred)

Ability to Commute:

Ability to Relocate:
