Must Haves

-Bachelor’s degree with a Finance/Accounting major/concentration preferred

-2 years of experience in healthcare accounting or auditing preferred

-Strong with Microsoft Word and Excel – journal entries and reconciliations

Insight Global is seeking a Staff Accountant for a not-for-profit hospital in Jupiter, FL. The Staff Accountant is an accounting position responsible for accurate and timely financial statement preparation supporting work journal entry preparation, balance sheet reconciliations, audit workpapers, and special projects. They will be responsible for account reconciliation, clear and professional oral and written communication including within Word and Excel. They’ll be responsible for the operating bank account and electronic remittance reconciliations of assigned accounts. They will prepare journal entries and association schedules for period end closing. The Accountant should be able to identify situations requiring attention/improvements, evaluate and make appropriate recommendations, and implement. Other position responsibilities include procedure development and maintenance, design/maintenance of reports in various systems used, various special billing functions, and testing system upgrades and other responsibilities as assigned.
