POSITION SUMMARY:

To serve as a caretaker, guardian, and custodian of the Y facility and property and to create a healthy environment for all staff and members of the YMCA. To work in support of the maintenance and janitorial team and all departments of the facility, providing a variety of cleaning, sanitation, and facility services. To provide a safe environment for all Y participants. Works under the direction and supervision of the Executive Director, Property Director, and Leadership Team.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Skills/Knowledge:

• Must be able to read and understand directions and information, specifically pertaining to the use of cleaning supplies and a variety of maintenance and janitorial equipment.
• Basic maintenance and landscaping knowledge is preferred.
• Exemplifies the YMCA mission and the character development pillars of: honesty, caring, respect, responsibility, and diversity.
• Awareness of personal safety and the safety of those around you is required.

Education/Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Prior maintenance, janitorial, and/or landscape management experience preferred

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $16.50 per hour
