MEMCO SER IS CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR A EXPERIENCED LOGISTICS TRANSPORTATION COORDINATOR IN THE KATY AREA!

Responsibilities:

The transportation coordinator is responsible for arranging freight deliveries between the Katy shop, vendor locations, and/or the project jobsites. The transportation coordinator is responsible for assigning transportation vendor and keeping daily records and logs, monitoring progress, and ensuring deliveries are made. The ideal candidate will be organized and professional. This role is critical for OPD to deliver on time performance for our clients.

Knowledgeable about freight: trailer types, weight restrictions, and other limitations of transporting freight

•

Communicate effectively at all levels of the organization and maintain relationships with vendors

•

Understand urgency of deliveries and downstream impacts of materials at the jobsite

•

Track all deliveries and provide status updates to Field Logistics Managers

•

This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship

Job Requirements:

•

Demonstrated ability to handle competing priorities and effectively communicate across all levels of the organization.

•

Working knowledge of sizes and types of trailer, weight requirements, and restrictions for oversized loads.

•

Experience working with MS Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word).

•

Understanding of DOT permitting process and how it can affect project scheduling and demands.

Preferred Requirements

•

Past experience coordinating multiple shipments with shipping vendors

•

Past experience coordinating transportation of large civil/piping plant equipment.

•

6 months or more working in an ERP system (LN highly preferred).

•

DOT certification
