Required:

• Associate degree or higher
• Experience in Behavioral Health for at least 1 year

Overview:
As an Agency Licensed Vocational Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing advanced nursing care to individuals with complex medical, mental health, and/or behavioral health issues at our maximum security unit. Your responsibilities will include performing nursing tasks, instructing staff, and ensuring compliance with regulations to support the well-being of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform advanced vocational nursing work
• Provide care, treatment, and general welfare for individuals with complex medical, mental health, and/or behavioral health issues
• Collect specimens for lab work and conduct health screenings
• Instruct staff on providing service and care to support individual medical needs
• Perform technical nursing procedures in accordance with regulations
• Provide on-the-job training to new LVNs and direct care staff
• Monitor and assign work to psychiatric nursing assistants
• Evaluate nursing intervention outcomes and provide input to the healthcare team
• Assist in implementing protocols, procedures, and programs to enhance health and safety

Schedule and Shift Details:

• Shifts are from 3 PM to 11 PM and 11 PM to 7 AM

Additional Information:

• No requested time off will be approved at this time (exceptions may be discussed)
• Must have a valid photo ID and current American Heart Association CPR certification
• Negative PPD results within the last 12 months are required
• COVID-19 testing with negative results required (testing provided)
• COVID-19 vaccination card, if applicable
• Must successfully pass a urine drug screen and background check
• Must successfully pass an FBI fingerprint background check (provided by the client)
