We are currently hiring well qualified furniture delivery drivers for our Distribution Center located in Leland Industrial Park off of HWY 74.

Custom Home Furnishings LLC is the premier upscale furniture retailer in Southeast North Carolina. We have several locations around the Wilmington and Leland areas and are continuing to see growth as the demand for high quality home furnishings rises. We've recently expanded our operation by opening a 50K sq ft Distribution Center and need to add a few members to our team as well. This is a full time position that comes with benefits.

Job duties include (but are not limited to):

• Having exceptional organization and communication skills.
• Our white glove delivery teams take a truck load of furniture out a few times per week and deliver to our customer's homes all throughout New Hanover, Brunswick, and Pender counties. Our delivery range does extend well beyond these areas but this is where most of our work is done.
• Delivery teams are the final representatives of our company and need to end the customer's experience with us on a high note.
• Delivery teams will perform a walk through with each client upon arrival, bring all items inside, set up/assemble items in the correct spaces, and collect any monies due.
• You must communicate any issues with our Customer Service Dept.

When delivery personnel is not on the road, they can expect to participate in the following duties:

• Receiving and unloading freight from tractor trailers.
• Safely putting away and storing items in our rack system.
• Opening and inspecting orders prior to delivery.
• Loading our delivery trucks as we prepare them for our white glove delivery teams.
• Maintaining a clean and organized work space!

Requirements:

• Must be able to lift 150 lbs. Most items are easily managed by two people but we do have items that are extremely heavy.
• Ability to be on your feet for long periods of time.
• Ability to crouch, kneel, and walk backwards regularly.
• Must have valid drivers license with a clean driving record (DEAL BREAKER)
• Reliable transportation to and from work. Attendance must be predictable. (DEAL BREAKER)
• Must be able to pass a drug screen.

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
