SUMMARY : Works as directed by the Director of Pharmacy Services to make sure medication is filled per protocols and indigent program rebates along with third party insurance completed correctly.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE : High School diploma or GED
LANGUAGE SKILLS : Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operationg and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to communicate in Spanish and English with patients and family members from various educational, socio-economic and cultural backgrounds.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to apply concepts of basic mathematics. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
COMPETENCY/SKILL REQUIREMENT: The competencies listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities which must be consistently demonstrated for this job.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, and/or REGISTRATIONS: Pharmacy Technician certification.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Ability to operate basic office equipment; copiers, printers, fax machines. Word processing, spreadsheet, accounting and general computer skills. Ability to assess and visually present data. Ability to deal effectively with stress, exercise good judgment and to work under pressure.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear, sit, and use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.
