Job Description
Facilitates the processing of all risk management occurrences, including complex occurrences, and ensures each is resolved appropriately.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
•Receives risk management calls and reports related to occurrences of freight OS&D (over, short, and damaged), hazardous materials, third-party property damage, equipment damage, workers' compensation, and citizen complaints.
•Provides drivers guidance and instructions following an accident or incident.
•Conducts pre-claim and post-claim investigations and communicates appropriate information to involved parties.
•Directs risk management correspondence to appropriate involved parties as needed.
•Reports OS&D occurrences in accordance with customer requirements.
•Coordinates the process of tracking, securing, and redelivering rejected freight.
•Assists in locating and determining the value of stolen shipments.
•Interacts with drivers and personnel from various departments regarding driver safety issues that may arise.
•Resolves hazardous material issues and maintains hazardous files and reports.
•Determines salvage process of refused freight and participates in salvage sales.
•Researches, compiles, analyzes, and tracks reports, spreadsheets, and correspondence.
•Prepares purchase orders as needed.
•Takes after-hours calls and reports relating to risk management occurrences.
•Establishes and maintains positive working relationships.
•Receives and carries out instructions.
•Maintains regular and predictable attendance.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree; or three to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
