AG Foundry - Recruiting & Staffing is Hiring a Social Media Director Near Los Angeles, CA

Our client, a live music festival producer is looking for a Social Media Director to join their growing team! The Social Media Director will be responsible for leading social strategy, managing social partnership content needs, and leading exciting and lifestyle based social content and marketing campaigns for the festivals and partnership with festival brand leads.

Responsibilities:

  • Build innovative social media campaigns to drive awareness of and engagement across their festivals.
  • Equal parts visionary and actionable planner, the role will craft their social media and influencer strategies and playbooks.
  • Develop strategies to maximize audience growth, engagement, content consumption/sharing across our social ecosystem.
  • Oversee social strategy and content calendar, incorporating key needs and initiatives from marketing, brand, partnerships, operations, content, and more. This includes facilitating and executing content on the ground across 9 festivals primary channels.
  • Establish and oversee cross-platform publishing for all social channels including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter/X, TikTok, etc.
  • Lead a team of social coordinators and community managers to meet and exceed all social KPIs.
  • Develop existing social media team and hire/onboard new talent to grow the function.
  • Work with a variety of content development resources (video editors, graphic designers, etc.) to create social content and programming across the social ecosystem.
  • Support ticketing team in development and execution of revenue content initiatives via social.
  • Lead the development of campaign creative across all social channels and work with creative marketing across all disciplines to ensure cohesion.
  • Lead team to optimize posting and engagement strategies across all social media accounts audience engagement across all social media accounts.
  • Identify and set the brands social voice and brand tone foster social conversation and engagement.
  • Expand influence and reach, among new target audiences and increase share of voice and engagement by leveraging emerging social properties and our exclusive content offerings.
  • Identify and manage influencer engagement opportunities across all social platforms.
  • Partner with our manager of social analytics to establish a clear reporting and insights framework to share performance and recommend evolutions based on lessons learned

Qualifications:

  • Proven track record of building innovative social media campaigns that drive awareness and engagement, particularly for large-scale events or festivals.
  • Experience overseeing a social strategy and content calendar, integrating key initiatives from various departments (marketing, brand, partnerships, operations, content, etc.).
  • Proficiency in establishing and overseeing cross-platform publishing for all major social channels including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter/X, TikTok, etc.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience leading a team of social coordinators and community managers to meet and exceed social KPIs.
  • Proven ability to develop existing social media team members and hire/onboard new talent to grow the function.
  • Experience working with various content development resources (video editors, graphic designers, etc.) to create engaging social content and programming.
  • Expertise in leading the development of campaign creative across all social channels, ensuring cohesion with broader creative marketing efforts.
  • Proficiency in partnering with social analytics managers to establish a clear reporting and insights framework, sharing performance metrics and recommending improvements based on lessons learned.
