The Ian's Pizza Commissary Kitchen (or "The Food Lab" as we like to call it) is a high-volume prep and production kitchen on Madison's East Side (802 Walsh Road). Almost all the ingredients on the pizzas and salads in our restaurants are prepped here!

Prep Cook Duties
Using our recipes, you will prepare sauces, dressings, and meats, and wash and chop fresh vegetables. You'll package, label, and date the products appropriately. You'll also keep the kitchen clean and organized. It's busy, repetitive work, but you'll have a fantastic team will help carry the load!
Prep Cook Requirements

• Able to stand and walk for long periods.
• Able to bend, crouch, and lift 20-50 lbs.
• Able to use knives, pots, pans, grills, and other industry cooking equipment.
• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• Must be authorized to work in the US and provide adequate identification documentation at your Day One. For more information, you can visit .

Prep Cook Scheduling
We're open Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays from 6am-10pm and Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays from 6am-2pm. Saturday morning and occasional weekday evening availability is highly preferred.
Part-time (anywhere in the 15-30 hours a week range) or full-time (30-40 hours a week) is available. We'll try our hardest to give you the hours and shifts you want, but we can't promise the same schedule every week. For full-timers though, we'll make sure you average 30-40 hours each week to ensure your health and dental benefits eligibility.
If you rely on public transportation, this will affect your availability. Most bus schedules will not allow for a 6am start time, so 7am or 8am is the earliest most people can start that rely on the bus. Please know your commute before applying!
