Position Overview: Virtus Healthcare Staffing seeks a dedicated RN ICU to join our partner, a hospital in Marion, IN. This role requires an experienced and adaptable nurse who is comfortable working in various units, including Critical Care, Telemetry, Med/Surg, and Acute Rehab. The ideal candidate must be willing to float between units as needed.
Start Date: 7/15/24
Shift: Day shift, 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care across multiple units, including Critical Care, Telemetry, Med/Surg, and Acute Rehab.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Educate patients and their families on health conditions and post-discharge care.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
- Float between units as needed, providing flexible and responsive patient care.
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
- Active Indiana Registered Nurse License.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of nursing experience in Critical Care, Telemetry, Med/Surg, and Acute Rehab.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to adapt to different units and work collaboratively with various teams.
