Reporting to the Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor, the Manufacturing Engineer is responsible to perform conventional engineering assignments that may involve equipment or product design, testing of materials, preparation of specifications, process studies, or research investigations.
This is an onsite role that sits at our Medley, Florida site.

The salary range for this role is 64,000 USD - 128,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.

Reporting to the Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor, the Manufacturing Engineer is responsible to perform conventional engineering assignments that may involve equipment or product design, testing of materials, preparation of specifications, process studies, or research investigations.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Applies basic engineering principles to perform routine design, fabrication, modification and evaluation in support of manufacturing operations.
- Prepare plans, process specifications and procedures, production aids and assembly fixtures, MRP support studies, factory cost work standards and assignments of similar complexity and magnitude.
- Conducts analysis or tests pertaining to the development of new methods, materials, processes or standards and provides recommendations accordingly.
- Analysis of Engineering data and change notices to create manufacturing Bill of Materials and routings for various product lines.
- Performs other related duties as required.
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field or in absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. RTX will not offer sponsorship for this position.
- Prior engineering experience working within a manufacturing or assembly environment is preferred.
- Prior experience with composites and/or fabrication is preferred.
- Process Improvement/Lean Manufacturing experience is preferred.
