Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Security Officer I.
In this role, the successful candidate Patrol Hospital buildings and grounds. Hold post on an assigned shift protecting patients, visitors, volunteers, employees, and property. Respond to Hospital emergencies and provide staff support on access control and special activities as required.
Job Responsibilities:
Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a High School Diploma or the equivalent.
Current and valid NYS Security Guard License.
Current and valid Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) certification (Must be obtained within 90 days of Hire date).
Current and valid Crisis Prevention/Intervention (CPI) certification (Must be obtained within 90 days of Hire date).
Strong communication (both oral and written), interpersonal, and customer service skills..
Required Licenses: Crisis Prevent/Intervention-Ct, Security Guard Reg-NYS
Preferred Qualifications:
Some College. Current and valid NYS Drivers License. Basic computer skills including MS Office.
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $57,324.80 - $60,712.18 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
