Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant with SEC reporting experience to join our team. The ideal candidate is a CPA with strong technical accounting skills, comfortable researching and discussing accounting standards. This role involves evaluating transactions, preparing financial reports, and driving financial system improvements.
Responsibilities
- Research and analyze new accounting standards issued by the FASB and SEC.
- Prepare detailed memorandums on accounting and reporting standards.
- Evaluate transactions and implement appropriate accounting solutions.
- Collaborate with key partners to implement systems and processes.
- Prepare and review financial reports, maintaining accurate accounting data.
- Develop improvements to financial systems and controls.
- Support external and internal auditors during reviews and audits.
- Ensure compliance with SEC, GAAP, and other regulatory requirements.
- Identify and implement process and cost improvements.
- Efficiently manage multiple tasks to meet deadlines, including monthly, quarterly, and year-end close deliverables.
- Active CPA license.
- 4-7 years of accounting experience.
- Strong understanding of GAAP; SEC reporting experience preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- Proven ability to drive process improvements.
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with Oracle and Workiva preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently with all levels of leadership.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical abilities.
- Proactive and positive attitude with a continuous improvement mindset.
