Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide direct support and care to our clients, promoting their independence, dignity, and well-being. This role requires a caring and empathetic individual who is committed to delivering exceptional care and support to individuals in their homes and in long-term care facilities.
Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care services to clients, including assistance with daily living activities (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Administer medications and monitor clients' health and wellness, adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
- Assist clients with mobility, including heavy lifting and transferring, as needed.
- Engage in social work and provide emotional support to clients, helping to alleviate stress and promote a positive quality of life.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment, adhering to the standards of home care and long-term care facilities.
- Document client care activities and communicate with family members and healthcare professionals as necessary.
- Perform other duties as required to ensure the well-being of clients.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience in direct support or care roles, preferably in a nursing home or home care setting.
- Ability to lift and transfer clients safely, as needed.
- Familiarity with HIPAA guidelines and regulations.
- Knowledge of social work principles and practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to client care.
