Job Description
Provide engineering and technical expertise to solve complex design problems within a specific area, with some supervision. Utilize the AutoCAD Electrical platform to support project design and drafting by preparing panel layouts, detailed panel drawings, electrical schematics, network sketches, and wiring diagrams.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the electrical design aspects of assigned projects, ensuring adherence to project commitments, including design releases, schedules, and material selection.
- Demonstrate proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical 2021 or later, with advanced skills in using smart blocks and assigning attributes in design drawings.
- Create and revise production drawings, including detail and assembly drawings.
- Produce final sketches of proposed drawings, verifying dimensions of parts, electrical connections, and interconnection requirements for the entire project.
- Apply knowledge of design engineering practices, mathematics, building materials, and other physical sciences to complete drawings.
- Convert existing production drawings to AutoCAD Electrical 2021 or newer.
Qualifications:
- Familiarity with electrical safety standards and procedures
- Proficiency in using testing equipment
- In-depth understanding of engineering theories and principles.
- Expertise in researching engineering and design issues, evaluating alternatives, making informed recommendations, and preparing/presenting these recommendations for review and approval.
- Ability to read electrical schematics
- Strong troubleshooting skills
