Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Certified Medical Assistant. The Certified Medical Assistant will be responsible for:

· Assisting the Physician and/or Nurse with treatments and procedures

· Giving pre-op and post-op instructions

· Maintaining a sterile work environment for the Physician

· Expect to assist – Vein procedures, Excisions, Suture removal (micro), Wound care

· Being mindful of the patients’ safety during procedures

· Managing patient visits

· Taking vitals and medical history and chief complaint

· Note taking during the Practitioner’s exam of the patient

· Inventory, ordering and restocking supplies

· Maintaining a clean and organized work environment

· Maintaining patient records in Electronic Medical Records systems

· Medical terminology

· Preparing lab specimens

· Cleaning of surgical instruments; Autoclave maintenance

· Employing proper sterile technique

Qualifications

CMA, Certified Medical Assistant

RMA , Registered Medical Assistant

AHA , American Heart Association: BLS (Basic Life Support)(we will provide)

HIPAA  Privacy Regulations Training Certificate (we will provide)

• Medical Assisting and Medical Terminology skills
• Experience in a medical office setting
• Strong patient care skills
• Knowledge of medical records management
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Positive mental attitude
• Ability to work well in a team
• Certification as a Medical Assistant
• Familiarity with vascular medicine is a plus
• Dedicated to high-quality patient care and efficiency
