The company designs and manufactures modern rental suits and tuxedos that actually fit made of 100% wool, ordered online, and delivered for free.

Using a combination of machine learning, tailor-trained fit specialists, and industry-leading customer service, The Black Tux guarantees a perfect fit every time.

We’re looking for a Retail Associate to join our growing team. This full-time Retail Associate will play an integral role in supporting our customer experience.

In this role, you will provide an exceptional fitting experience and assist customers through the many different stages of their event.

From look conception to fruition you’ll assist customers through styling, event setup, and checkout. As a full-time role, availability on nights and weekends is mandatory.

What You'll Do

  • Provide customers with in depth fit consultations to ensure they look and feel their best
  • Demonstrate extraordinary product knowledge and determine the customer’s needs to be able to give expert style advice
  • Assist customers through account creation and checkout process
  • Communicate store needs and potential challenges with TBT Manager
  • Keep stockrooms and fitting rooms clean and organized per TBT standard
  • Take personal accountability to achieve your store and personal goals while supporting the goals of the team
  • Meet or exceed key performance indicator (KPI) goals personally and as a contribution to the store total
  • Completes other ad-hoc projects or duties as assigned

Who You Are

  • Previously worked with customers to motivate and guide them through a purchase or experience
  • Organized with a unique eye for small but meaningful details
  • Places high value on being a self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Describes yourself as positive, passionate about fashion, and eager to learn
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment with the ability to multitask
  • You have a flexible schedule with the ability to work nights and weekends
  • Capable of walking on your feet for many hours a day and comfortably use a step stool
  • You are tech-savvy and computer proficient
  • You are able to communicate on remote-based platforms (ie. Slack)
  • Apple product experience preferred

$19.70 - $20.70 an hourThis is an onsite, in-person role in our partnered Nordstrom Store. The pay range for this role is $19.

70 - $20.70 per hour.The Black Tux defines compensation plans using market data aligned with comparable companies at a similar stage and size as ours.
