Production Scheduler MRP Controller
Production Scheduler (25%): Interpret build plan, analyze changes to build plan schedules, and update demand in tools such as SAP and Google Sheets. Ensure build plan accurate for buyers to procure against within SAP. Monitor production progress, tracking any push out or pull-ahead of production input and adjusting build plan to reflect. Drive accurate MRP recommendations for buyers to convert to purchase orders. Assist in build plan change analysis and proposals. Review expedite requests with materials managers and manufacturing as requested and provide recommendation to production schedules as requested. Collaborate with supply chain team members such as material program managers, supply and demand planners and manufacturing operations managers. Publish reports indicating status of production schedules and effectively communicating confirmed changes to production schedules.
MRP Controller (75%): Collaborate with material program managers to ensure timely delivery of materials to meet production schedules. Act as lead MRP system manager, overseeing the entire production MRP process. Maintain and optimize production MRP system to ensure accurate material planning to meet demand forecasts. Manage purchase requisitions generated by MRP system. Review, validate, and release purchase requisitions in a timely manner. Validate accuracy of MRP recommendations, making necessary adjustments to MRP parameters to improve results as necessary. Manage MRP attributes for assigned materials, such as supplier ID, lead time, minimum order quantities, lot sizes, etc. Manage material master attributes as required. Schedule MRP in SAP for automatic processing, ensuring accuracy of input data. Review MRP exception reports and messages, work with supply chain team members to resolve exceptions. Ability to read, understand, and interpret bill of materials for assemblies, as well as changes to bill of materials via change action or deviation. Highlight projected inventory shortages to material program managers, assist in conducting delivery date pull-ins. Provide ongoing communication and support to production planning, materials management, and scheduling functions regarding material availability and lead times. Participate in cross-functional teams to optimize inventory levels and improve overall supply chain performance. Process past due items and facilitate delivery in collaboration with global supply managers and material program managers. Preferred to possess knowledge of manufacturing processes and to have a background in materials management. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Proficient in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
