**Description**

**Business Strategies:**

* Establish division and/or subsidiary objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards consistent with organizational strategy.

* Conduct market research to identify potential Opportunities and Customers. Maintain an effective business development program, securing new work on a routine basis.

* Build and maintain strong relationships with customers at multiple levels

* Monitor overall quantity and quality of work performed by the division/subsidiary.

* Ensure alignment with organizations programs, policies, standards, and procedures.

* Manage, and resolve issues that arise.

* Participate in the strategic planning process

* Actively participate with the General Manager peer group.

* Ensure effective communication with team members and Harris organization

**Employee Relations/Teambuilding:**

* Plan, staff, and supervise all division activities including personnel administration, performance review, defining functions, responsibilities, etc.

* Partner with the Human Capital team on recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and mentoring new talent

* Through your actions, demonstrate and promote the Harris team culture within your division

* Emphasize a strong safety culture at all times.

* Provide growth and development opportunities to the team through training and continuing education. Provide support to other divisions as needed

**Financial Management/Sales Strategies:**

* Review monthly financial reports and proactively manage business unit.

* Review projects, jobs, work order, and service agreement reports to measure productivity and manage gross margin

* Manage receivables, productivity, work/change orders and other impacts to business performance.

* Achieve annual business unit plan

* Achieve yearly growth objective through new customer acquisitions, retention of existing customers, and customer satisfaction.

* Manage sales activities, performance, and teams to achieve sales goals

* Manage proposals and agreements within planned gross profit margin

* Develop annual business plan that leverages your teams capabilities to achieve organizational expectations.

* Proactively forecast expected business results on an ongoing basis and document accordingly.

Research/understand and be able to explain and/or justify specific assumptions used in business unit forecast

Ensure the predictability of business results, based on forecast, assumptions, sales, backlog, etc.

**Leadership:**

* Demonstrate leadership thro ugh actions that embody the Harris core values

* Be a role model of professional excellence in all internal and external communication and interactions

* Participate in Harris initiatives, including but not limited to training, Strategic Team Meetings, STIMS, and other regional, national, and corporate initiatives

* Demonstrate a high level of accountability for yourself, your teams, and your business performance.

* Provide thought leadership on key industry trends and developments

* Operate with transparency and candor with your teams, regional peers, and corporate teams

* Provide mentorship, guidance, and/or direction to General Manager I where needed.

* Facilitate collaboration amongst all service divisions and their peer groups

**What we're looking for in you**

* 8 years of prior experience in a Service and Building Automation leadership role

* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or equivalent discipline required; MBA preferred

* Proficient understanding of mechanical systems what they do and how they operate

* Proficient understanding of Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems including the various components and processes.

* Business Development and Sales experience

* Leadership and teambuilding including a proven ability to coach, train and motivate employees

* Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PPT, and Outlook

* Marketing experience preferred
