• Lead and manage the nursing staff within the Neuro ICU, including recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance evaluation.
• Oversee patient care activities within the unit, ensuring compassionate, patient-centered, and high-quality care delivery, particularly for patients with neurological conditions.
• Manage day-to-day operations of the Neuro ICU, including resource allocation, equipment maintenance, and inventory management.
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and optimize neurocritical care services.
• Serve as a key leader and responder during emergencies, providing direction and support to the team in high-pressure situations.

Candidate requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) or related field preferred.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas.
• Minimum of 5 years of clinical nursing experience in neurocritical care or critical care, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required.
• Certification in Critical Care Nursing (CCRN) or Neuroscience Nursing (CNRN) is preferred.
