Your strong understanding of the financial services industry and JPMC's IT systems will contribute to the continuous improvement of our offerings, navigating complex problems and driving strategic thinking. Your impact will be significant in the design, architecture, and functionality of our products, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for our customers.You will conceptualize, structure, and detail our user experiences within the context of a broader user journey. You will partner with Product Managers, Engineers, and Data Analysts in the prioritization, planning, and decision making to make amazing experiences for our customers. The Deposits 2.0 team is unique in that it supports a modernization effort across the firm to inform the next generation banking experience.Job responsibilities Design and develop elegant solutions to specific interaction problems and ensure consistency across multiple products and platforms while adhering to industry best practices Apply advanced knowledge of information architecture and storyboarding to create user-centric designs that enhance navigation, findability, and overall user satisfaction Conduct data-driven analyses to inform design decisions and use data to transform raw information into valuable insights to inform decision-making Collaborate with cross-functional teams to incorporate inclusive design principles and accessibility guidelines to ensure our products and services cater to a diverse range of users Operate with an iterative design mindset and incorporate user feedback and insights to continuously improve the overall user experience of our offerings Assist in the analysis of market trends, user research studies, and user behavior analyses to inform design decisions and contribute to the team's strategic thinking Participate in upfront user research to help synthesize the research findings into design principles and experience frameworks Advocate for the users' perspective when collaborating with Product Managers and Engineers to plan roadmaps, gather requirements, and structure the work Ideate and prototyping to explore different options, including unexpected, but still workable solutions Diagram the product ecosystem, omni-channel service layers and the customer experience Create detailed UI design, built upon our Design System, that brings our solutions to lifeRequired qualifications, capabilities, and skills 3 years in a user experience design or equivalent role dedicated to improving experiences with digital products and services Proven ability to create visually appealing and functional designs using industry-standard tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, or Adobe Creative Suite) Demonstrated experience in designing and optimizing user experiences across multiple platforms, including web, mobile, and other digital channels Previous experience interpreting complex data and transforming it into actionable insights for informed decision-making Proficient understanding of inclusive design principles, accessibility guidelines, and assistive technologies, with a history of creating accessible and inclusive digital experiences Bachelor's Degree in relevant design discipline (e.g., Interaction Design, Human Computer Interface, User Experience Design), certification from credible bootcamp or similar accelerated learning program, or equivalent work experience Self-direct in both planning and structuring work and executing at expected levels of quality Prior work involves collaboration within design teams (with other designers, UX researchers, and content designers) and cross-functionally with product managers and software engineers Advance skills in Interaction Design as well as either Visual/UI Design or Information Architecture; Intermediate ability in adjacent skills such as User Research, UX Writing, and Prototyping Able to show how your understanding of technical constraints and opportunities informed your design solutions Comfortable and confident when presenting work to cross-functional DirectorsPreferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills Advocate for Accessibility Guidelines and Inclusive Design practices Has shipped multiple successful digital products, demonstrating user- and human-centered design approaches Familiar with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, frameworks such as React, and mobile UI standards Demonstrated understanding of how design connects with broader business value Early development in adjacent skills such as Information Architecture, User Research, UX Writing, and Prototyping
