The Production Supervisor job in Portland, Maine is responsible for training, evaluating, developing and guiding workers in the performance of their job; motivating staff's job performance and creating a team spirit in the department. This individual will also be responsible for scheduling activities of the HR department, controlling the workflow, product quality, and GMP's of the department. They will act as a two-way communicator between management and operatives, reporting to management regarding performance of team and goals, as well as making recommendations for continual improvement of the department. This is a full-time, day shift position. Production Supervisor Qualifications:
Associates Degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent work experience
English Fluency & Literacy
Demonstrates basic math proficiency
High physical activity performing activities in a food processing facility - Requiring strength, agility, stamina, and speed to occasionally lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs
May need to issue verbal and or written warnings - prior food production management experience is a must
Required Skills:
Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and production procedures
Able to perform basic math including addition, subtraction, fractions, decimals, ratios, percentages, and temperature conversions
Competent in Microsoft Excel
Experience with Planning - demonstrates strong process organization skills and time management abilities

Pay Rate: $69k - $74k/year
