Labella Associates is Hiring a Geologist Near Poughkeepsie, NY
Job Description
We are currently hiring a Geologist in our Environmental division at our Poughkeepsie, New York office.
The Geologist will support hydrogeologic studies and pump tests supporting potable water source studies as well as Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments, environmental investigation and remediation projects at sites with contamination by materials such as solvents, petroleum fuels, metals, and PCBs. You have the opportunity to join a dynamic team working on large, technically engaging, and impactful projects.
A successful candidate will be able to perform various tasks including field work, soil and groundwater sampling, drilling supervision, reporting writing, and support project managers on various projects.
Duties
- Soil and groundwater sampling
- Field Activity Supervision
- Drilling Supervision
- Data tabulation and calculations using hydrogeological theories
- Report Presentation
Requirements
- 0-5 Years of experience
- BS in Geology or related field preferred
- MS Office Suite
- Strong communication skills
- 40 Hour OSHA Hazwoper
Salary Range: $50,000 - $70,000 per year
The specific salary offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location.
