We are seeking an Intermediate Accountant for a 3-month contract position. This role requires a dedicated professional who can balance accounting support and payroll processing responsibilities effectively. The successful candidate will have a BS in Accounting and be comfortable working in a hybrid environment with flexibility in office/remote arrangements.
Accountant Job Details
- Contract Duration: 3 months
- Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm (flexibility allowed)
- Work Environment: Hybrid (in office/remote)
- Role Breakdown: 70% accounting support and 30% payroll processing
Accountant Mandatory Skills
- BS Accounting Degree (required)
- General Ledger - 1 year (required)
- Account Reconciliations - 1 year (required)
- Journal entries - 1 year (required)
- Process payroll for employees accurately and on time using UKG HRIS on a Biweekly cadence
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies
- Review and verify timekeeping records for accuracy for both exempt and non-exempt employees
- Calculate and process adjustments, bonuses, commissions, and other payroll-related payments
- Generate payroll reports as needed for management and regulatory purposes including but not limited to; benefit deductions, 401k, HSA/FSA
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters
- Collaborate with HR and finance teams to ensure accurate record-keeping and reporting
- Assist with payroll-related projects and initiatives as needed
