Carroll County, New Hampshire is Hiring a Nurse Manager Near Rochester, NH

Job DescriptionWe are looking to hire a Unit Manager to join our team! You will be responsible for overseeing the administrative & clinical activities of your assigned unit in our long term care facility.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage records and information
  • Provide assistance to management team
  • Encourage and improve internal communication
  • Administer and/or supervise the administration of medications and treatments in compliance with legal requirements and facility Policy & Procedure (P&P).
  • Communicate with physicians directly as needed and transcribe orders per P & P.
  • Monitor and complete documentation in medical records in compliance with legal regulations and according to the facility P & P.
  • Daily rounds of assigned unit and physicians’ rounds to ensure attending physicians review treatment plans, record and sign orders, progress notes, etc.
  • Plan shift organization & job assignments for all nursing staff on unit.
  • Check that all nursing staff; Licensed Nurses Assistants (LNAs), Medical Nursing Assistants (MNAs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) & Registered Nurses (RNs) are on duty as assigned.
  • Participate actively in various committees focused on resident care such as falls committee and wounds committee
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in a nursing management role
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Deadline and detail-oriented
  • Strong leadership qualities
  • Must possess and maintain a current, active license to practice as an RN or LPN in the state of New Hampshire
  • Maintain current CPR certification
  • Must have working knowledge of OBRA (Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act), State and Federal regulations, Long term care survey requirements, and MDS
  • IV Certification Preferred
