Primary Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing training and safety programs to ensure compliance with industry regulations and promote a culture of safety within the organization.
  • Implement our current training plan and identify training needs within the business and coordinate with department leaders to accomplish effective training.
  • Conduct assessments to identify training needs and evaluate the effectiveness of existing programs.
  • Become familiar with Seyer Industries learning management system (LMS) and maintain all training records and documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Design and implement effective training programs.
  • Ensures employees receive training in a timely manner and comply with retraining requirements.
  • Primary trainer for forklift, overhead crane, new employee safety training, and others as needed.
  • Embodies Seyer Industries Core Values (Flexibility, Accountability, Collaboration, Positivity, Work Ethic, and Integrity).
  • Promote a culture of safety through effective communication and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Active member on the Safety Committee and take action with the committee and various departments to implement the committee's recommended changes
  • Assist in investigating accidents and incidents, preparing reports, and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Take part in a monthly 6S audit to proactively identify safety concerns and take action to promptly resolve.
  • Manage Seyer's Safety Sheet Database
  • Transfer all existing training into UKG's Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Create and manage career development plans for specified employees

Training, Skills, Knowledge, and/or Experience:

  • OSHA 30 (preferred)
  • 5 years of manufacturing experience
  • History of coaching, teaching, or training
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and experience with training management systems(P).
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Consistent and dependable attendance.
