Job Title: Marketing Research Intern – Business Development Focus

Job Type: Internship. This is a FTE hourly position, approximately 10hrs per week.
Overview: Netchannels Marketing is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Marketing Research Intern with a focus on Business Development. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in identifying and securing contracting opportunities within the public sector. Netchannels is a certified WBENC WBE and WOSB and SBA WOSB.
Job Description:

1. Market Research:
   • Conduct comprehensive research in SAM.gov to identify contracting opportunities aligned with Netchannels' NAICS codes.
   • Use filters to identify past and present solicitations and awardees of past contracts (Prime Contractors)
   • Identify relevant contracting officers in departments such as the Department of Transportation, Department of Commerce, and Higher Education.
2. Database Management:
   • Develop and maintain a database of identified contracting officers and prime contractors.
   • Track and update contact information, contracting opportunities, and relationship status.
3. Business Development:
   • Reach out to Prime Contractors and Federal Contracting Officers and introduce Netchannels: our services, NAICS codes, certifications.
   • Establish and nurture relationships.
   • Keep these contacts informed for future solicitations.
4. Contract Identification:
   • Identify set-aside and sole-source contracts for Women-Owned Small Businesses (WOSB).
   • Monitor and analyze contracting opportunities specific to WOSB-certified businesses.
5. Networking and Relationship Building:
   • Assist in developing strategies to engage with potential Contracting Officers or Primes at conferences and events.

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing or Business
• Strong research and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in MS Office or Google Workspace
• Detail-oriented.
• Ability to work independently
• Knowledge of public sector – government procurement processes is a plus.
