Architectural Senior Project Manager required by mid-size Architectures firm in San Francisco

Our partnership client is a growing, innovative mid-size Architecture firm headquartered out of Anchorage with 6 other offices across the United States including San Francisco, California. As well as their Architectural services, in recent years they have expanded their scope to offer interior design and branding services to their clients. In alignment with this growth and their values, to offer their clients a robust and proactive service, an exciting opportunity has opened up for an experienced Architectural Senior Project Manager to join the team in San Francisco, California.
Your new role
As the successful Architectural Senior Project Manager, you will join a collaborative and creative team, and you will have the opportunity to lead and manage a diverse portfolio of large architectural design & delivery projects across multiple building types by leading a team, or running smaller projects independently. As the lead Senior Project Manager on group projects, you will support the office principals with office management, operations & project management tasks. You will be accountable for the overall success of the budget, schedule & resources, prepare fee proposals, participate in fee negotiations, and you will facilitate effective internal and external communication with project team members, external consultants and client interactions.
What you'll need to succeed
A Degree or Masters in Architecture from a reputable university and 10–15 years post-graduate progressive experience in the field of architecture, including recent substantial experience in commercial project management leading projects in a group & independently. Holding an Architectural license is highly desirable but not an absolute requirement. You must demonstrate success as a lead Project Manager on multiple commercial projects and key skills in project planning, scheduling, budgets & resource management. You must be an effective team leader with the ability to lead, mentor and collaborate with experienced team members. You will display extensive knowledge and experience of building systems, detailing and technology, applicable codes, regulations, standard design solution development, differing building types and project delivery methods. You must enjoy working in a high-pressure environment, reorganizing your day around key priorities, have a keen eye for detail and enjoy engaging at all levels, from Executive leaders to skilled drafters.
