Responsibilities:
Become an expert on the operation and functionality of the Sequencing
Platform and Sample Prep platform to ensure minimal system down time
Work with the engineering teams on resolving discovered issues and propose
solutions to common failure modes
Support the lab teams with system troubleshooting both at the
hardware/software level and the assay level
Execute experiments and testing protocols to ensure platform functionality
Clearly and timely communicate and collaborate across system, device,
instrument, and reagent teams in root cause investigation findings and solution
implementations
Help design, troubleshoot, and perform instrument development in a fast-
paced environment
Good understanding of statistical methods
Excellent oral and written communication skills B.S. with 2-3 years of experience or M.S with 1 in a Bioengineering,
mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer engineering,
mechatronics, or a related disciple
Troubleshooting experience in development or operations of microfluidics,
liquid handler, diagnostic systems, NGS systems. Experience in failure
analysis and/or defect management is a plus.
Understanding of sequencing methodologies
Ability to perform statistical analysis of data with programs such as JMP, R,
etc. Familiarity with computer programming in languages such as Python is a
plus.
Meticulous attention to detail and excellent written and electronic record
keeping skills
