Our team has immediate openings for a Part-Time North Carolina Certified Emergency Medical Technicians. Join us in our commitment to the health, safety and welfare of the public.
Starting hourly rate for this position is $21.63.

Duties and Responsibilities

An employee in this class is responsible for responding to the scene of emergency and non-emergency calls, applying necessary medical treatment to sick or injured persons, and transporting persons to appropriate medical facilities. Administers basic level of life support techniques and procedures based on patient assessment. Gathers basic medical and insurance information.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to work a rotating shift, travel to and from assigned stations and to meet the needs of the EMS operations. Serves as operator of emergency medical unit responding to calls for assistance and transports patients to medical facilities as necessary. Successfully completes necessary reports and records for emergency calls. Inspects and tests ambulances and their emergency equipment, maintaining proper inventory of equipment and supplies; cleans and sanitizes ambulance and equipment daily; ensures that they are in proper and good working order; makes routine adjustments, but reports other than minor defects for specialized attention.
Desired Education and Experience

High school graduation and successful completion of the North Carolina State Emergency Medical Services training program.
Special Requirements:
A valid North Carolina driver's license.
