Elentic is Hiring an Information Technology Manager - Cloud Application Support Near St Louis, MO

Join an innovative St. Louis, Missouri company to establish and enhance a new production support environment for the Cloud Data Engineering team. We're seeking an innovative and resilient leader to manage the Cloud Data Engineering Application Service Delivery function. This role requires strong leadership and team management skills in overseeing multiple teams and tier 1 projects within a large enterprise IT environment. As the Data Engineering team introduces new capabilities, you will ensure seamless transition to the support team to maintain high-performance SLAs. Your primary focus will be on developing and refining support processes, procedures, and team staffing to optimize operational efficiency.

Hybrid work setting - remote and on-site as needed in St. Louis, Missouri.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish a team that spans multiple locations to ensure 24/7 support, while prioritizing policies and practices that promote a healthy work-life balance for all team members.
  • Manage support incidents and alerts with correct priority and response.
  • Quickly resolve operational issues to minimize their impact on business operations
  • Implement robust escalation procedures and maintain clear and timely communication channels throughout incident resolution processes
  • Conduct thorough investigations into the underlying causes of issues, employing root cause analysis methodologies to identify systemic weaknesses, and implementing corrective measures to prevent future occurrences.
  • Generate and disseminate comprehensive reports at regular intervals that assess the performance of the data lake applications against established Service Level Agreements (SLAs), providing transparency on operational metrics and performance trends.
  • Collaborate closely with other teams to establish effective monitoring processes and metrics, ensuring continuous evaluation and optimization of operational workflows and performance benchmarks.
  • Manage the modernization of data lake infrastructure components to ensure they remain compliant with vendor specifications and support requirements.
  • Create initiatives to enhance the functionality and efficiency of data lake solutions through targeted optimization projects, addressing specific operational challenges and improving overall system performance.
  • Address requests for ad hoc business requirements promptly and accurately, ensuring operational continuity and responsiveness to evolving business needs.
  • Monitor the identification, assessment, and resolution of security vulnerabilities within data lake applications.
  • Manage team members' professional development and career advancement, providing guidance, mentorship, and opportunities for skill enhancement to foster a motivated and high-performing workforce.

Experience Required:

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring any sponsorship from the company now or in the future.
  • Minimum of 8 years of IT experience, showcasing a deep understanding and expertise in the field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of proven success in leading and managing multiple teams within a large enterprise IT organization.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field preferred.
  • Exhibit excellent analytical skills, evidenced by past success in creating and executing transformational strategies that drive business growth.
  • Demonstrated leadership in managing large application development teams, specifically with experience in handling high transaction workloads for mission-critical applications.
  • Well-versed in data engineering concepts and trends, maintaining up-to-date knowledge and familiarity with industry developments.
  • Possess excellent relationship-building skills, particularly within the executive landscape, enabling effective collaboration and influence.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, capable of engaging and addressing a broad range of technical and business audiences.
  • Demonstrate strong collaboration skills, working effectively with others to generate and develop new ideas.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple high-impact incidents concurrently to minimize business disruption.
  • Familiarity and proficiency with EM data across various domains.
  • Extensive experience mentoring and developing IT professionals to achieve team success and individual career objectives.
  • Deep understanding of incident and problem management best practices to optimize outcomes and prevent recurring issues.
  • Dedication to safeguarding customers, employees, and brands through rigorous adherence to security and compliance standards, continually enhancing security strategies to bolster our overall security posture.
