Description
The General Manager collaborates with the Assistant Store Manager of Operations in supervising the operations of the range, firearms and clothing retail and in all services related, including classes and special events as needed. The General Manager will supervise retail sales, sales staff, inventory, and all functions within the facility. The GM is responsible for ensuring all Compliance procedures are understood and followed by their team.
PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Achieve Results
1. Identifies current and future client requirements through established rapport.
2. Keeps merchandise orderly, in stock and secure.
3. Maintains staff by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees through planning, monitoring and appraising job results. Complete annual reviews on direct reports.
4. Coordinate and facilitate with Human Resources through the hiring process for open job positions in the store.
5. Executes a sales pace that is commensurate with company goals. Manage and assist on the sales floor as necessary. Review and analyze sales numbers daily to ensure goals are being met. Conduct appropriate follow-up.
6. Coordinate with receiving department to ensure all product is tagged and placed on sales floor in a timely manner.
7. Coordinate and conduct weekly inventory counts. Ensure inventory numbers are accurate. Conduct inventory transfer in/out as needed.
8. Coordinates schedules in all areas-supervise maintenance of preferred staffing levels within payroll budget.
9. Ensure that cash drawers are ready daily. Maintain cash in safe. Manage weekly deposits and change orders. Ensure that any discrepancy in cash balances through the POS are rectified.
10. Work closely with Compliance to ensure appropriate training and implementation of all Firearm SOP’s are communicated and carried out from the General Manager down to all associates.
Operational Excellence
1. Regularly review inventory and minimize loss
2. Maintain the stability and reputation of the store by complying with all legal and health requirements.
3. Ensures the range and facility are clean and safe
4. Evaluate inventory level and orders
5. Problem solves during peak times to ensure customer satisfaction
6. Work with Managers to build, implement and supervise training materials, training sessions and completion of training programs
7. Work with Inventory and Merchandising to plan store layout and displays to simplify customer shopping and promote sales
8. Utilize POS reporting tools for data-based decisions.
9. Ensure that fliers, promo materials and signage are up to date, distributed and displayed.
10. Ensure safety of associates and clients in store by adhering to OSHA safety standards as well as all Standard operating procedures.
Relationships
1. Establish and ensure collaborative, supporting relationships within the entire organization.
2. Establish and maintain positive, effective relationships with key resources, including external vendors, suppliers, and customers.
3. Communicate with ASMO on topics needing attention to improve overall store operations.
4. Collaborate on facilitation of classes, special events and promos with appropriate team members.
5. Be an effective team player and leader to assist in driving the core values and focus of Frontier Justice.

Requirements
EDUCATION
High school diploma required, with college hours preferred.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum 3-5 years of retail management
OTHER
· MUST BE 21 YEARS OLD OR OLDER
· Normal overtime/extended work hours
· Must be able to physically audit and inspect all operations
