• Maintains knowledge of and compliance with current Medicare/Medicaid, state/federal rules, and regulations for professional services.
• Complies with all Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) requirements in accordance with federal, state, and organizational policies.
• Assumes responsibility for personal growth. Develops, maintains, and upgrades professional knowledge and practice skills through attendance at seminars, conferences and participation in continuing education and in-service classes.
• Fulfills the obligation of requested and/or accepted assignments.
• Able to perform duties autonomously, schedule and meet workload expectations.
• Identify and report to leadership immediately any concerns or issues that places the team, patient, or caregiver at risk.
• Excellent observation, verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills.
• Assisting and actively participating in the multidisciplinary palliative care team meeting.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Required Education

• High School Graduate or equivalent

Required Experience

• 1 year in a clinical setting, previous hospital experience and/or physician office experience
• Palliative or Hospice experience preferred

Required Licenses and Certifications

• Medical Assistant Certificate
• Phlebotomist
• CPR

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Strong computer and data entry skills
• Customer Service skills and training
• Bi-lingual fluency in English and Spanish preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

• BLS Certification (Preferred)
• Certified Medical Assistant (Preferred)

Ability to Relocate:

• Tampa, FL: Relocate before starting work (Required)
