Your role and responsibilities

Performs operations such as rewinding, repairing, reassembling and testing large-sizedDC armatures, AC stators and rotors, etc Performs related duties as assigned such as assisting on the larger or more complicated units May dismantle and repair commutators and collector rings as well as to band rotating equipment Understand and perform LOTO duties May be required to work overtime, various shifts, holidays and weekends Travel to job Sites - Some extended / overnight travel

Qualifications for the role

• High School Diploma or GED and 10 Years industrial experience
• Familiarity with machine shop practices and safety observation
• Eligibility Requirements : Able to read and interpret blueprint drawings
• Able to use / read common shop gauges and micrometers
• Able to maintain complete paperwork and time reporting
• Able to accurately perform extended hand work which requires moderate strength
• Able to travel and complete overnight stays
• Very good mechanical skills and knowledge of hand tools a must
• Hydro-Electric experience highly desirable
• Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
