Assists Sim Lab Manager and faculty with sim labs specific to clinical nursing courses. Assists students with practicing sim lab skills. Tutors students. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assists with clinical simulation activities.
Provides support for students and faculty with use of a variety of manikins.
Participates in developing, implementing, and evaluating clinical scenarios for students.
Tutors students in various nursing topics as needed.
Manages oversight of students during practice and/ or skill development.
Coordinates with faculty to achieve expected student learning outcomes.
Promotes an orderly Sim lab environment.
Administers and supervises students' computerized tests as needed.
Conducts CPR training.
Maintains log of students' activities.
Assists with other related teaching duties as assigned.
Performs Academic Advisement of Nursing Students.
REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION: Requires a minimum of a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree with successful completion of six credit hours per year toward a master's degree in nursing. LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Current Oklahoma Licensure as a Registered Nurse BLS certification BLS Instructor certification preferred EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/ABILITIES: Requires two years full-time experience as a Registered Nurse prior to appointment. Good knowledge of math and science; reading & writing skills; communication & interpersonal skills; time management & organizational skills; computer skills including use of MS Office. Must maintain a high level of confidentiality of information. Maintains compliance with the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) policy and its' procedures.
