I'm seeking a dedicated Assistant Project Manager to join the dynamic team in McLean, Virginia. My client is a well-established general contractor with over 80 years of experience. They are one of the largest privately held firms in the industry, specializing in commercial construction, heavy civil and various other sectors.

This role involves assisting with the construction and maintenance of structures, facilities, and systems, participating in the conceptual development, organization, scheduling, and implementation of various construction projects.

Responsibilities:

• Develop industry relationships and expand professional networks.
• Create and maintain project logs and reports.
• Update project schedules and ensure timely material deliveries.
• Assist in estimating and subcontractor solicitation.
• Manage trade partner qualifications and change management processes.
• Prepare monthly pay applications and review subcontractor/vendor payments.
• Prepare meeting minutes and monitor RFIs.
• Oversee the entire submittal process.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Building Science, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• 2-5 years of construction industry experience.
• Proficiency with construction project management software (Viewpoint, Procore, VICO), BIM, MS Excel, and MS Word.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• LEED AP and DBIA certifications preferred.
